The Coathangers

Ever since the March release of their new album Suck My Shirt, The Coathangers have been ripping’ shows left and right and especially making a good name for themselves in Los Angeles. The Atlanta trio has quickly become one of our favorite bands.

Just today, NPR premiered a new track from The Coathangers titled “Watch Your Back”. With a solid punk boogie, the song immediately begs for a proper head-bang and hip thrust. Rusty’s pummeling drums lay down the beats while Minie and Crook Kid keep those guitar strings wailing. You can stream the new tune below.

The Coathangers will put out a limited-release split 7″ with Black Lips November 13 on Suicide Squeeze. You can pre-order it here. Also, the band will get to work on a new alum this fall with Nic Jodoin (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Desert Noises) which we’ll see sometime next year.

If you missed The Coathangers recent gig at Los Globos, you can still catch them on October 24 at Beach Goth! Grab your tickets here.
