Liphemera

Los Angeles based Liphemra has revealed a spicy new track title “Did U Cry”. The experimental group — known for their unique electronic beats, samples and trip hop vibes — are gearing up to release a new EP of same name (Did U Cry) which is set for an early March release via LA-based label Future Gods.

Kicking off with a dynamic blend of riveting guitar and tribal-esque beats, the 30-second intro to “Did U Cry” sounds like a marriage between Thievery Corporation and Marilyn Manson. It’s haunting and sexy all at the same moment. Sprinkle in the vulnerable, longing vocals of Marsico and you have yourself a beautifully manic piece of work.

In a recent email with Marsico, the leading lady shares: “I’m so fkn excited and relieved because we’ve spent most of this year in the studio finishing up this EP… all self recorded… all self produced in our shitty rehearsal space in mid city 😉 ”

Led by the multi-faceted Liv Marsico, Lipherma also includes talented band mates Trey Findley, Miles Gray, and Chris Parise. Below you can stream their new track “Did U Cry” which premiered yesterday via Stereogum. You can purchase the new track via iTunes.
