Låpsley unveils gorgeous cover of The Weeknd's "The Hills"

As if the hype for her upcoming freshmen debut wasn’t enough, Låpsley has stolen the spotlight once again with an astonishing cover of The Weeknd’s chart-topping hit “The Hills.” Transforming the song’s once seductive R&B-infused drops into a powerfully heart-wrenching ballad, the young singer/songwriter’s ethereal murmurs are caressed solely by a soft piano accompaniment. Flexing her vocal chops more than a few times, there’s something so satisfying in hearing Låpsley’s silvery British voice pour out the song’s coarse chorus.

Her album Long Way Home will arrive March 4 via XL Recordings.

Catch Låpsley at the Indio Polo Fields on day two of both Coachella weekends, where she’ll (hopefully) be performing under the intimate cover of the Gobi stage. Låpsley also has a Los Angeles date at the El Rey Theatre on April 21st. Get your tickets before they sell out.
