Summer is the season for music festivals, both big and small there’s been a great set for us all. Want to see the Cold War Kids for FREE? As part of the SAM Summer Concert series, Busker Fest goes off this Friday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. in Long Beach’s East Village Arts District. With the headlining act being local favorites, The Cold War Kids, various band will compete to win the opening spot before they take the stage at 9 p.m.

Concept:
Pick up wooden nickels from participating downtown businesses and give them to your favorite bands. The bands with the most nickels win cash, equipment and an opening slot on the Busker Fest closing performance (The Cold War Kids).
