Wild Beasts at the El Rey Theatre – Show Review & Photos

If you have yet to listen to the addictive melodies and enchanting orchestrations by the UK act, Wild Beasts, you’re seriously missing out. Front-man, Hayden Thorpe has some surreal vocals that will make you just want to sing along full throttle. But then you realize, oh shit, my voice is no where near as magnificent as his. And no matter how hard you try, your probably can’t emulate anything near his vocal talents. Hayden can hit on some serious falsetto or drop it to a seductive and smooth tone. Together, with the entire ensemble, Wild Beats put on one of the most enthralling shows you can witness live; it’s no surprise they won the Mercury Prize for “album of the year” for their stellar record, “Two Dancers.”

I have looked at all the clips of WB from around the world, but what can I say you Americans really ‘rock’!! No wonder the boys love going to your country so much!!Such a great reception and such fun people. Can’t wait to go over next and witness for myself what Australians have been missing out on!
