Wow, I never thought the Swell Season would be the soundtrack to someone’s suicide. I guess their beautiful music can make someone feel a bit lonely and loveless. According to the SF Weekly, some man (name yet to be released) jumped to his death off of the rooftop of the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif. falling three stories onto the stage the Swell Season were performing on. The man took the plunge in between songs and landed in front of frontman, Glen Hansard. Talk about heavy … My guess is the guy took his life over a broken heart. So sad …

The Swell Season have issued a statement below:

“The band, crew and all involved with them are shocked and saddened by the unfortunate events of last night. Their hearts go out to the victim and his friends and family.”
