If you like wild, weird and shocking, you need to check out Tel Aviv’s best live act Monotonix. We recently checked out the thrashin’ garage antics of Monotonix at Filter Magazine’s Culture Collide Festival and honestly, it was the most exciting show of the entire festival. Whether they’re climbing trees in their undies or taking their show off stage (drums and all) to join the crowd below them, Monotonix are the shit. Plain and simple.
Monotonix are performing on Tuesday, November 30 at the Hollywood Palladium as they open for Faith No More’s sold-out show. You can also catch them on January 27, 2011 at the Echoplex with Ty Segall. Check out the video below the list of Monotonix tour dates to see what these guys are all about.

LOL! Yeah, they were quite wild. And a bit man-sweat-stinky. But it added all to the excitement. ha
They scared me at Cultures Collide:-).
Ah, this is probably the third best announcement for a show taking place next year. They are just pure FUN live. I went without knowing any of their songs last time and was not disappointed. Don’t expect them to stay on stage. Hell, they don’t even start on stage. They travel through the crowd with their instruments. Even crowd surfing while playing drums. Expect to leave the show covered in beer and sweat and having been in the moshpit at least once during the show. This is not for the faint of heart. They are a spectacle. Lead singer may or may not show you his backside and/or shove something up it.
