If you thought Spain was all about tapas, flamenco and Spanish guitar, you better think again. Busting out some soul-clappin’ dirty-down-blues, comes Guadalupe Plata. These guys are the fuckin’ shit! The duo comprised of Pedro de Dios Barcelo and Carlos Jimena have a bangin’ authentic sound (even have a dude on the washtub bass!) that will make even the squarest of squares cut-a-rug. With a mean guitar squeal and some badass Spanish lyrics, you better start learning your second language now if you wanna ride with these outlaws.
For those of you headed to SXSW, Guadalupe Plata are on the official music schedule. Be sure to add them to your list of must see bands because these guys will definitely start the party right.
