The first ever House of Blues New Music Nights, is making its way to the House of Blues Sunset on Tuesday, July 12th! It was a tight races between our selected emerging Los Angeles bands ( Brian Buckley Band, Cannoneers, Open Source Rebellion) but the votes are in and the Brian Buckley Band has won the first round of the House of Blues New Music Nights. Not only beating their fellow L.A. musicians, but the Brian Buckley Band received the most votes over all six bands in the San Diego and Las Vegas markets! This means they get to play the House of Blues in Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas!

But before the boys head out to San Diego and Las Vegas, they’ll be tearing riffs up proper at the House of Blues Sunset on July 12 with the Cannoneers and Open Source Rebellion! Tickets are only $10, but if you voted for any of the three bands, you should have already received your $5 coupon via email.

July 12, 2011: Doors @ 8:00 p.m., Show @ 9:00 p.m.

  • Brian Buckley Band: The Brian Buckley Band, who’s latest record comes out soon, is an LA 4-piece who refers to themselves as a pretzel twist of rock, folk and experimental influences.
  • Cannoneers: LA rockers, the Cannoneers have received plenty of accolades after their recent Echo residency, and filmed performance playing at the Staples Center and the video broadcast on Fox Sport.
  • Open Source Rebellion: Hailing from Silver Lake CA, Open Source Rebellion is a 3 piece Electro Rock act combining rock riffs and danceable Electro flavored synths into short poppy songs.

We’ll be giving away tickets to the show this week! So stay tuned for a chance to win a pair. And if that isn’t enough freebies for you, we’ll also be giving away tickets to some of HOB’s hottest concerts at the show! See you there!
