When you think of Hype Williams, the cult classic Belly, may come to mind—or dope music videos such as 2Pac (“California Love”) and The Notorious B.I.G. (“Warning”). That’s all great, but there’s also a performer by the name of Hype Williams that creates enigmatic experimental beats. You can catch him this Tuesday, April 24 at the Echoplex for Check Yo Ponytail! Hype will headline alongside supporting acts: Gatekeeper, James Ferraro, White Car and Slow Motion DJs. Tickets to the show are $12 in advance.
