Contest: Win Tickets to Spoek Mathambo at the Echoplex (July 26, 2012)

Johannesburg’s Spoek Mathambo (real name: Nthato Mokgata) will be providing his Afro-funk tunes to Angelenos at the Echoplex on Thursday, July 26, 2012. The Africa native first captured our attention with some collaborative projects—Sweat X, Playdoe—that placed his smart, dirty vocals on top of electro-rap bangers that activated dancefloors across the globe and now he’s come into his own with the arrival of his second album, Father Creeper, he’s one man building up an army to make his creative visions a reality, rewriting any artistic laws in his way. He’ll be joined for the night by Gothic Tropic.

Tickets to the show are $12-$14, show starts at 8:30 p.m. and this show is 18+.  Enter the contest below for a chance to win a pair of tickets, courtesy of our friends at the Echoplex.
