Negativland have been around since the 1980s, which means they’ve seen it all in the music industry. They’ve even been sued twice for copyright infringement, but are still going on strong! Mixing original materials and original music with things taken from corporately owned mass culture and the world around them, Negativland re-arranges these found bits and pieces to make them say and suggest things that they never intended to. In doing this kind of cultural archaeology and “culture jamming” (a term they coined way back in 1984). They’re providing fans with more of their culture jamming when they play at the Echoplex on Tuesday, September 6, 2012 with Moebius getting things started!

Tickets to the show are $12-$17, doors at 8 p.m.  Enter the contest below for a chance to win a pair of tickets, courtesy of our friends at the Echoplex.
