Spencer Krug, lead singer of the recently disbanded band Wolf Parade, will be playing The Echo on Wednesday, September 19th under his solo project moniker, Moonface. We caught Moonface’s performance at this year’s FYF Fest and it did not disappoint. More than enough to not only satisfy mourning Wolf Parade fans, but also attract new ones using that distinct voice that we’ve come to love, accompanied by musicianship so cohesive that you know it came from one man’s mind just by listening. Releasing music under the name Mooface since 2010, Spencer’s most recent album release is “With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery.” So come join us for a performance so good, you’d swear Krug’s been holding out on his other projects just to save some of the best stuff for Moonface. Multiple bands are supporting with one of the most notable being Moonface’s Jagjaguwar labelmates, Foxygen. The duo is guaranteed to not only make you want to pick up their new release “Take the Kids Off Broadway,” but also pull out those old Bowie & Stones albums as well.
Tickets will be $12 – $14 (not including any fees), doors open at 8 p.m. and the event is all ages. Enter the contest below for a chance to win a pair of tickets, courtesy of our friends at The Echo.
