Bettye LaVette showcases her power house voice at the Troubadour on Thursday, October 11. Bettye LaVette is one of those near-best kept secrets in soul and blues music but also maintains an eclectic palette, with successful ventures in country, funk, gospel and rock. Celebrating her 50th year of making music, she has stood the test of time, and 2012 brings the release of her new album, Thankful N’ Thoughtful (ANTI- Records) and the release of a new autobiography, A Woman Like Me -there’s no stopping this sweet soul songstress!
