Zola Jesus Sacred Bones Anniversary Pappy Harriets

What are your plans for Dec. 21, 2012? No, we don’t think the world is going to end, but we do believe there’s going to be some crazy energy vibing around our planet — a spiritual awakening — and what better way to enjoy this special day than under the stars, in nature and with some great music.

Brooklyn-based record label, Sacred Bones, is celebrating their 5-year anniversary in Pioneertown (Joshua Tree) on December 21 at Pappy & Harriet’s. It’s a celebration of a label that has been carefully curated with handpicked artists by a few people who share one vision. From Zola Jesus, The Men, Var, and David Lynch’s Eraserhead Soundtrack reissue—this is a solid label with many quality musicians. Sacred Bones is ready to celebrate this day of spiritual awakening with performances by Zola Jesus, Cult of Youth, Var (West Coast debut all the way from Copenhagen), Wymond Miles, Psychic Ills, Pop 1280, Lust for Youth and special guests.

Tickets are $30, on sale now via TicketFly. This show will sell out. RSVP to the Facebook event, here. See you there …

Listen to some of the bands performing in the SoundCloud below. It’s a very dark, goth-y, minimal electro playlist perfect for this special night of awakening.
