Formed in the late and great 1970s, the Specials are bringing their English 2 Tone ska revival to Club Nokia on Monday, March 18 and the Fox Theater Pomona on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. With their mod-style 1960s period rude boy outfits, the Specials music combines a “danceable ska and rocksteady beat with punk’s energy and attitude, and had a more focused and informed political and social stance than other ska groups. The Specials are pretty much rad, and if you don’t know that already, you need get on their Fox Theater Pomona show.

Tickets to the Specials at Club Nokia on March 18 are $35-$45 + service fees. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. There will be a Goldenvoice presale on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m., stay tuned for the password. The show is all ages with doors at 7:30 p.m.
