NYC hip hop is coming to the Echo on Thursday, April 18. Rapper and producer EL-P headlines the Echo. Previous to doing solo work, EL-P was in Company Flow, released a few records, and gained some fans. From there he started a record label called Definitive Jux and has released three solo rap albums, a jazz album, and five instrumental albums. his style is dense and aggressive, with lyrics that reference science fiction and fantasy. Joining him is fellow NYC hip-hop artist, Despot. New York hip hop is coming to L.A and we’re ready to hear some raw tracks.
Tickets to the show are $20-$23, doors open at 8:30, and it’s 18 and over. You can win a pair of tickets with us by entering the contest below.

Next, email ggcontests@gmail.com with your full name for guest list and a clever reason why you want a pair of tickets to EL-P at the Echo. When you’re done with your email, send us a Tweet so we know you entered the contest or you can post on our Facebook wall. We’ll select a winner that has done all of the above mentioned. Winners will be announced via email, Facebook and Twitter on Monday Apr. 15. Winners will have until 10am Tuesday, Apr. 16 to reply back to our email and confirm their win.
