Finally after countless EPs and singles, comes the debut album by Tamaryn, Tender New Signs. Tamaryn’s earlier material was rooted in traditional goth-psych overtones, but Tender New Signs is an incredible step forward. The songs on the album combine driving pop and lush ballads, layered with guitar-driven atmosphere, against Tamaryn’s languid and restrained voice. The music paints a foggy pictures with a soundtrack that is otherworldly and mysterious, keeping the listening in a dreamlike state. Although it seems there are pedals upon pedals of effects in the records, the constructions of the album is raw and analogue, making it a timeless piece full of complexities. The music is beautiful and full of emotion. Tamaryn invites us to release our emotions and let the music carry us away. Joining Tamaryn is The Black Ryders and Dream Boys two artfully psychedelic bands. Join us at The Echoplex for a dreamy goth night.
