The whole idea of supporting an artist virtually by donating funds hasn’t really been done before. But Conte twisted that around. Through the website Patreon, he has been able to gain support from fans to donate as little as a dollar for his creative mastermind. Even without donations, Conte has created a name for himself by remixing songs such as “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore; while at the same time initiating his own music (take “Pedals”), featuring real robots. Conte will be hitting The Echo on Friday, July 19 with supporting act Oh Boy Les Mecs. Come see what he’s all about!
