She went from being a medical student in the UK, to being one of 2013’s most listened to upcoming artists. Amongst her musical inspirations, Nina Simone and Alicia Keys definitely stand out as being inspirations for her debut album, Our Version of Events. Emeli Sandé, the soulful vocalist behind the hit song “Next To Me” will be performing at the Club Nokia on Saturday, August 10. Be sure to catch her! Supporting act will be Johnnyswim.
