Delivering cutting edge music, dance, and visual arts from all over the globe, the Luckman Fine Arts Complex is a very special performance venue that not many Angelinos and surrounding neighbors know about. Hidden on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles and just five miles east of downtown, the Luckman Complex is home to three unique space: the Luckman Theatre, with a capacity of nearly 1200; the Intimate Theatre, with modular seating of up to 300; and the Luckman Gallery, with contemporary presentations throughout the year. And all three of these unique venues present some very spectacular shows you will not want to miss. So get out of Hollywood, the valley, Echo Park or wherever you live and venture to the Luckman for their 2013-2014 season!

Isabella Rossellini: world premiere of the Sundance Channel’s Green Porno Live on Stage
The legendary actress and model makes her Luckman debut with the world-premiere of Green Porno: Live On Stage. Initially produced as a series of original short films for the Sundance Channel, Rossellini and co-writer Jean-Claude Carrière adapt their project for the stage and explore the natural mating rituals of various species from arthropods to pachyderms.
Kenny G (partnership with Levitt Pavilions)
Iconic instrumentalist Kenny G has been a staple in the adult contemporary and smooth jazz scene since the mid-’80s. His smooth sax playing caresses melodies, putting intense emotion into his solos. Presented by Levitt Pavilions.
Rokia Traoré performing her new work Beautiful Africa produced by the legend John Parish
Critically-praised Malian artist Rokia Traoré will perform her new work Beautiful Africa, produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels, Sparklehorse). Hitting all the major international festivals, including Glastonbury, Rokia continues at the forefront of the Malian roots movement.
Kinky
An intelligent manifestation of rock, electronic, and Latin rhythms, Kinky produces riveting sounds and mixes that are in a realm of their own. Unique and authentic, the five-member group is certain to deliver an unforgettable performance that is as modern as it is retro.
Les Nubians
Grammy-nominated Les Nubians have intrigued audiences for over a decade with their inventive and glamorous “Afropean” style. Recognized for their colorful auras, Les Nubians’ vogue is a fusion of their French and African heritage.
Sinéad O’Connor
International superstar Sinéad O’Connor returns to Los Angeles for what will be another critically-lauded performance.
Antonio Zambujo
A major force in the resurrection of male fado singers in a genre currently dominated by females, Antonio Zambujo makes his debut performance at the Luckman with his earthy and atmospheric songs.
Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Co
Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company makes their highly-anticipated return to the Luckman with their critically-acclaimed theatrical event, If At All. Arguably Israel’s most innovative and prominent dance company, Kibbutz has soared into international spotlight as much for their exquisite technique, as for their figurative and abstract approach
Karsh Kale presenting Classical Science Fiction
Visionary composer and producer Karsh Kale will present Classical Science Fiction, a new groundbreaking work of classical Indian fusion and electronica. Considered a pioneer and genre-bending artist, The New York Times proclaims Kale as “Suave, Modern and unmistakably India”.
