L.A.’s Body Parts just put on a great late afternoon set yesterday at Echo Park Rising. The alt electro-pop outfit had fans dancing at the Taix main stage to their sexy new dance tunes, including their new single “Unavoidable Things” which Body Parts have shared with their fans today. The tune is a very catchy jam, full of summer swagger. With its funky bass lines and guitar riffs, and tropical-like bongos, “Unavoidable Things” is reminiscent of an early 80 synth jam; something that you might have heard at Rodney Bingenheimer’s English Disco, during the Sunset Strip glory days. You can listen to Body Parts’ new song “Unavoidable Things” below.
Composed of Ryder Bach and Alina Cutrono — Body Parts will release their heavily-anticipated debut album Fire Dream on October 29 via Father/Daughter Records. This album should be quite interesting and fueled with emotion and theatrics as it bares its root in an awful nightmare in which Bach witnessed the murder of his parents at the hands of a close friend. Talk about dark dreams … You can pre-order Fire Dream here.
Body Parts have an upcoming show at the Skirball Cultural Center on Friday, July 30 with Jenny O and In The Valley Below. Be sure to grab your tickets here!
