Megan James (vocals) and Corin Roddick (instrumentals), the duo behind the Canadian band, Purity Ring, have two upcoming shows at the Fonda Theatre on Tuesday, August 27, and Wednesday, August 28. The band came together in 2010 lacking familiarity to electronic music and yet within 3 years, they have successfully reeled fans in. Within this time frame, Purity Ring has released 5 singles from their debut album, Shrines, reaching number 32 on the US Charts and number 2 on the Electronic albums category. We’ll be giving out a pair of tickets to their Aug. 27 show, so get at it! Supporting act will be Jon Hopkins. Also, the first 175 people in line will receive a limited 12″ with Jon Hopkins’ “Breathe This Air” featuring Purity Ring and “Amenamy” (Jon Hopkins remix).
Tickets to the show are $36.65 including service fees, doors at 8 PM, show starts at 9 PM and the show is all ages. You can purchase your tickets here or try winning a pair by entering the contest below.
