The annual Newport Folk Festival, famously known for setting the stage for early performances by American roots music legends such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, travels all the way to California this year for its first West Coast incarnation, Way Over Yonder Fest.  The amazing lineup for day one of the festival at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, October 5, includes headliner Neko Case, Brett Dennen, Calexico, Justin Townes Earle, Shovels & Rope, Eagle Rock Gospel Singers and more – folk yeah!

Tickets are $45 for a day pass, $80 for a 2 day pass or $90+ for VIP viewing/21+ bar area.  Doors open at 1 PM, show starts at 2 PM and the event is all-ages.  You can click here to purchase tickets or try and win a pair of tickets by entering the contest below.
