Los Angeles based White Sea has delivered her extraordinary debut album titled In Cold Blood. As the solo project of Morgan Kibby, the foxy brunette always slaying on the keyboard with M83, White Sea’s album debut is a blissful collection of electro ballads and electrifying songs tailored to make you dance. Without a doubt, In Cold Blood is a gorgeous collection of 10 beautifully written and produced songs that will surely hit the radio soon. Expect it to be the anthemic indie LP of the summer.

Why We Dig Them:
Aside from the admiration I’ve already had for Kibby as the confident and superbly talented force in M83, it’s great to see her take that musical brilliance and let it shine under her own limelight. Her vocals, keyboards, and arrangements as well as co-writing on M83’s GRAMMY nominated album, Hurry Up We’re Dreaming were a fundamental instrument to M83’s success. Not to mention, Kibby has remixed tracks for a variety of artists (both mainstream and indie) including: Lord Huron, The Naked and Famous, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Active Child, Manchester Orchestra, and many more.

Best Songs:
No lie, but every song is considered a “best” song in my book. But since I have to select a few favorites, I would recommend getting addicted to the songs below.

“They Don’t Know” — Track opener and powerfully anthemic, Kibby’s vocals fly with beauty and grace. It has a climactic build-up that takes you on a first-class ride via Kibby’s vocal prowess.

“Future Husbands Past Lives” — A flirty number where Kibby calls out like a siren drawing in her infatuators. This song sounds as though it belongs in the best part of the 80s.

“For My Love” — Kibby’s voice peaks with vulnerability and wraps you into her soulful blanket of sultry words and beguiling sensibilities.

Three Words to Describe In Cold Blood: Illuminating — Symphonic — Addictive
