As if there weren’t already enough bitchin’ summer concerts series to overwhelm your musical soul, here comes yet another set of FREE summer concerts that we look forward to every year. The 2014 Del Mar FREE summer concert series has announced its incredible lineup. Kicking off on Friday, July 18 with none other than one of our favorite 90s hip hop groups: Jurassic 5! The series lineup will also feature performances by The Cult, Neon Trees, Weezer, Steel Pulse, Counting Crows, MAGIC!, Steve Aoki and will close its series on Aug. 31 with a Reggae Fest featuring Ziggy Marley. As expected every season, Del Mar will announce a very special surprise performance for their Aug. 22 date.

All of Del Mar’s concerts are FREE for those attending the races. You can purchase Stretch Run Admission to the Del Mar Races for as little as $6! Bet on ponies and then enjoy a live performance by any of the aforementioned acts.

L.A. peeps, this is a really fun and easy getaway! Just hop on the Amtrak Surfliner from Union Station DTLA and ride straight to the Solana Beach Station! From there you can hop on the free British double decker bus shuttles that take you straight to the Del Mar Races! Enjoy a sunset performance with a coastal breeze outside of Los Angeles for one night!
