The duo from Baltimore Wye Oak have been on our radar for quite some time this year starting in April, when they performed at Coachella. You can check out our review here or check out a few photos of them here. The band is comprised of Jenn Wasner (vocals, bass) and Andy Stack (keys, percussion) who together create a blend of indie folk rock and shoegaze. Their latest album Shriek was released earlier this year, which made it onto one of this years recommended new albums. In support of the album, Wye Oak will headline the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, July 10. Supporting the band will be Pattern Is Movement (from Philly).
Tickets are $18-$20, doors open at 8pm, and the event is all ages. You can purchase tickets or win a pair of tickets by entering the contest below!
