Seattle-based experimental hip hop group, Shabazz Palaces have an upcoming show at The Roxy on Wednesday, July 30th. Comprised of Ishmael Butler, Erik Blood, and Tendai Maraire the group began in 2009 with the release of two EPs (Shabazz Palaces and Of Light). Both showed the group’s experimental talent, signing them onto Sub Pop records and releasing two additional albums, with their latest titled Lese Majesty. We last caught them at the Echo in support of their critically acclaimed debut album, Black Up. Now’s your chance! Supporting Shabazz Palaces will be Porter Ray.
