Imelda May can do it all: win you over with her impeccable voice, flaunt her stylish attire, and reach the top of the charts. The Irish singer-songwriter can also play multiple instruments including the bodhrán (an Irish drum), guitar, bass, and the tambourine. Since the age of sixteen May began her career after a lifetime of listening to the likes of rock ‘n’ roll artists such as Buddy Holly and Billie Hioliday. So far she has released four albums, and is currently touring in support of her latest titled Tribal. Imelda May will headline the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, August 14th with supporting act The Rhythm Shakers.
Tickets start at $22 plus service fees, doors open at 8pm, and the event is all ages. You can purchase tickets or win a pair of tickets by entering the contest below!
