FYF is right around the corner with several of its bands booking shows in L.A. leading up to the festival. Among them is the Louisville band Slint who have scheduled a headlining show at the El Rey Theatre on Friday, August 22nd. The band was originally comprised of five members in 1986 but later disbanded in 1992 with two albums under their sleeves: Tweez and Spiderland. Fortunately the band reunited back in 2005 performing at several festivals with members Michael McMahan (guitar), Todd Cook (bass), and Matt Jencik (bass). Slint will be performing Day 1 of FYF, catch the band supporting act Tropical Trash for an intimate show!
