Get stoked Johnny Marr fans! Legendary guitarist, Johnny Marr has announced a headlining concert date at the Glass House in Pomona. Known for his incredible work with the The Smiths, Modest Mouse and The Cribs, Marr is set to perform at the Glass House on Tuesday, Dec 16. Marr is touring in support of his upcoming album Playland due out October 7 via Warner Music Group. Playland is Marr’s second solo effort and the follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed (included the honor of being named as NME’s Godlike Genius) Top 10 debut album The Messenger. Last month Marr released the first single “Easy Money” from his forthcoming album. You can watch the official video for the infectious jam below.
We last caught Johnny Marr performing at the Fonda Theatre in 2013 after his big Coachella set also in 2013 (photos and review here). We’re elated to have the man back!
Tickets to Johnny Marr at the Glass House are priced at $25 – $30 and the show is all-ages. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, Sept. 12 at 12 p.m. (noon).
