This Sunday, Sept. 28 the first-ever George Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of George Harrison will take place at the Fonda Theatre. Curated in partnership with the Harrison Estate, the evening’s line-up of famed performers will include: Brian Wilson, Norah Jones, Brandon Flowers & Mark Stoermer of The Killers, Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips, Ben Harper, Ann Wilson of Heart, Britt Daniel of Spoon, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Nick Valensi of The Strokes, Dhani Harrison, Ian Astbury, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Butch Walker, Cold War Kids, Karen Elson, Brian Bell of Weezer, Big Black Delta, and many more. To top it all off, George Fest coincides with a major reissue of George Harrison’s first six solo albums, released between 1968 and 1975 on The Beatles’ Apple Records label.

yes….i’m quite late. but….i’m hoping that you might take pity on someone who just literally saw this five minutes ago…..
my fave George song is What Is Life (the first 45 i ever bought) and I would be very excited to see Brian Wilson
“WAH-WAH” is my favorite song by George Harrison!
I am most excited to see Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys!
I have this deep love for the muscular track “Ski-ing” he did with Eric Clapton on Wonderwall Music.
The lineup is so all over the place, but I mean that in a cool way. I’m curious to see which song Britt Daniel will be tackling.
Grimy Goods,
I already entered but forgot to mention that I would be most excited to see Dhani Harrison play his father’s music. Dhani has such integrity and his preserving dad’s legacy with dignity.
My favorite Harrison tune is Blood From A Clone.
My absolute favorite George song is a rarity, Blood From A Clone; which is on the Somewhere in England album from 1981. But, I really love dozens of them – I have been a major fan my entire life and sadly, tickets sold out so fast, I tried to but tickets both times.
Hi Grimy Goods! My favorite George songs is Let it Down. Would be most excited to see Dhani Harrison, Weird Al & Norah Jones.
ahhhhhh GIVE ME LOVE! 🙂 xo
I love all of George Harrison’s songs, but as a child of the 80’s nothing puts a smile on my face like “Got my mind set on you”. Reminds me of cruising around in my mothers horrible yellow Cadillac Cadillac de Ville- it had an 8-track player.
I’m excited to see Dhani and Ann Wilson and Nora Jones and Brian Wilson and Weird Al and … everyone!
Thanks for the opportunity. You guys rule.
Hi Grimy Goods. My favorite George song is “My Sweet Lord”. I am really looking forward to seeing Brian Wilson.
Hi Grimy Goods!! My favorite George Harrison song is “Here Comes the Sun.” Such a magical little song. I would be most excited to see the ever so wonderful Wayne Coyne ( A fellow Oklahoman.) I loved George Harrison and would love to be apart of such a special event!
My favorite George Harrison song is While My Guitar Gently Weeps. However, it’s a very tough choice considering “Something” is my ringtone and All Things Must Pass is very special to me also. I’m a HUGE George Harrison fan and I would love the chance to be able to see his son, Dhani Harrison, pay tribute to his father. I would also love to see Wayne Coyne, Brandon Flowers and one of my favorite bands, Jamestown Revival. Fingers crossed! 🙂
Behind That Locked Door! Such an amazing song.
Excited to see Britt Daniel, Brandon Flowers, Ryan Miller and Wayne Coyne!
So hard to choose just one! But I’d say “What is Life” is one that I never get tired of. I’m excited to see EVERYONE! …especially Dhani (and I’m curious to see what Weird Al has up his sleeves).
Of all of these tribute shows in recent years, by far this has got to be the damn coolest one ever. Just an unbelievable line-up. I would feel very privileged to attend (especially as I may not be going out to shows for a long while after my new baby arrives next month!!). Crazy to have to pick a favorite song, but I love “Art of Dying” and “Beware of Darkness.” Super psyched to see Brian Wilson (never seen him), Britt Daniel (Spoon was amazing at Hollywood Forever), Wayne Coyne, Ben Harper, Ryan Miller, Norah Jones… and Weird Al, what!?!
Peas ~
My favorite George Harrison song is While My Guitar Gently Sleeps and I am excited to see Britt Daniel! Thank you so much for doing this. Grimy Goods are the best!
My favorite George’s song is All Things Must Pass. I’m eager to see his son Dhani!
Hi Grimy Goods! My favorite George Harrison song is Something. I’ve loved it since I was a little girl, and if a guy dedicated it to me, it would be a guaranteed panty dropper 🙂 I’d be super excited to see Brian Wilson, Wayne Coyne, Nick Valensi, and Weird Al!
Thank you! xoxo
Favorite George Harrison song is “I Got My Mind Stuck on You.”
I am a huge Butch Walker fan so am most excited about seeing him, but am also excited about Brandon Flowers.
Hi Grimy Goods! Favorite Harrison song has to be “What Is Life.” That song has so much energy and soul, and it ALWAYS makes me think of the film GoodFellas. And I would be most stoked to see Brandon Flowers and Nick Valensi. It would be unbelievable to go to George Fest!
“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.” ~ Henry- GoodFellas

My favorite Harrison song right now is “All Those Years Ago” and I’d love to see Big Black Delta!
This might be my lucky day? What a stellar lineup and amazing tribute. Wayne, Norah, Brian… Yes please.
Hi Grimy Goods, My favorite George Harrison song is Beware Of Darkness and I would love to see Brain Wilson
Favorite George Harrison song is Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth). Quite an impressive list of artists paying tribute to George, super excited about Brian Wilson!!!! c’mon!
Hi Grimy Goods. My favorite George Harrison song is Beware Of Darkness and I would love to see Brian Wilson. Thanks for the chance to win.
Hey Grimy Goods! My favorite song is Fab, it would be a pleasure to go to a fest to celebrate and honor my favorite beetle George Harrison. I’m really want to see Nick Valensi from The Strokes becuse he has awesome guitar skills like the one and only George.
Grimy Goods! This is your best ticket giveaway to date! My favorite George Harrison song… SO MANY… Toss up between “The Inner Light” and “Isn’t It a Pity”. Each song demonstrates George’s unique strengths in songwriting and guitar work. “The Inner Light” shows his mastering of the Indian Sitar sound while “Isn’t It A Pity” showcases his beautiful slide guitar work.
The acts I am excited to see are the great Brian Wilson, The Cold War Kids, Norah Jones, and George’s son Dhani Harrison. The eclectic lineup at this show is evidence of how George’s music of spirituality and love has influenced artists throughout the musical spectrum.
Thank you, Grimy Goods!
I would die and go to heaven if i won these tickets. Favorite song Isnt it a Pity and super excited to see Weird Al and Ann Wilson. Thank you Grimy!!!! xoxoxoxoxxo
Hi Grimy Goods! My favorite George Harrison song is “Piggies” from the White Album (the harpsichord is so triply and cool!). Also, I’m most excited to see Wayne Coyne at the festival. I think the Flaming Lips owe a lot to George. Thanks so much for doing this and I really hope I can go! Grimy Goods is my favorite website.
Best George song is While My Guitar Gently Weeps ….the way he makes the guitar cry on this song is amazing… Would be amazing to hear someone great do this live! Excited to see Nick Valensi and hopefully Beck makes a special appearance!!!
What an awesome show! I would love to experience this! My favorite George Harrison song is, My Sweet Lord. It totally reminds me of my ex but in an absolute good way. Excited to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Weird Al. =)
Favorite George song…SOMETHING…. Theres just something about the way that song moves me. Attracts me like no other … HUGE STROKES FAN! So excited to see Nick Valensi!
Thanks for this contest! Hope I win!
My Sweet Lord, hands down. I’ll be partial towards Something for the rest of my life for nostalgia reasons.
Excited to see, um, everyone. Weird Al? The Killers? Brian Wilson?
That lineup is awesome! But I’d be most excited to see Britt Daniel, Nick Valensi & Brian Wilson. My favorite George Harrison tune — even though Dylan technically wrote it — is “If Not For You”. Harrison’s version will always be top in my book – even played it at my wedding when my wife walked down the aisle.
Here comes The Sun!! Can’t wait to hear Cold War Kids cover these songs!
My favorite George Harrison song has to be Isn’t it a Pity and I would love to see Dhani Harrison and Norah Jones!!
…oh yea and im stoked for Ann Wilson, Jamestown Revival, and those special guests!!! And Jameson, duh 😉
My favorite song by George is, although tough to decide, has to be ‘Here comes the Sun’. It’s spanned generations and will hopefully continue to. And with “winter” right around the corner here in LA, there’s nothing better than some hot (but not too hot) sunshine. It’s alright.
Favorite GH song: What is Life
Most excited to see EVERYONE! But if I have to narrow it down, it’s a toss up between Wayne Coyne and Ann Wilson (Love me some Heart!). However, I am MOST excited to see who the special guests are! I’m hoping for Paul Simon!!
