Kera & The Lesbians have released a very high-end and beautifully done video for their entrancing song, “Snakes.” For such a powerful and eerily seductive song, you best believe the video is just as mentally intoxicating. Directed by Sinziana Velicescu and Michael Delaney with photography direction from Lonnie Francisco, the almost four-minute video is quite cinematic captured in pure black and white noir. The video has some religious tones of pain and forgiveness where we find a helpless Kera in a crown of thorns which eventually leads to being the guinea pig for some mad scientists. The song’s suspenseful Spanish guitar and sexy tambourine has the tendency to make us get lost in the music and forget what’s really going on here: is it science vs religion as a means to better your soul? Or is there something much more deeper that we are missing? You decide for yourself.

Today, Kera & The Lesbians will embark on West Coast tour kicking off The Depot in San Francisco and ending at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs on Oct. 17. The band have a L.A. hometown date at the Bootleg HiFi on Oct. 10 and we highly recommend you grab tickets.
