Get stoked fans of Kathleen Hanna, The Julie Ruin and Bikini Kill! The Julie Ruin have announced a free concert on Monday, Nov. 3rd at The Ray Stark Family Theatre on the USC Campus. It’s going to be a rrriotously entertaining, politically provocative and infectiously danceable evening featuring punk-feminist icon Kathleen Hanna and her latest band, The Julie Ruin. We last caught The Julie Ruin live at the Echoplex last September (photos here) and it was raucous sold-out affair. We’re sure this free Julie Ruin show is quick to fill, so be sure to RSVP as soon as you can.

Opening the show are the Los Angeles–based band Sex Stains. We recently caught this wild pack featuring both Allison Wolfe and Mecca Vazie Andrews (on vocals) at Burger A Go Go and we were stoked on their chaotic live show and feral punk tunes. Don’t let the band’s name scare you, they’re worth getting a bit dirty over.

RSVP TO THE JULIE RUIN’S FREE SHOW AT USC!

Another event we highly recommend you attend is the screening of The Punk Singer and Q&A discussion with Kathleen Hanna. This event will take place on Nov. 2, the day before The Julie Ruin’s performance. You mind as well attend both events, they’re going to be amazing.
