Los Angeles’ psych rock theater collective, P L a N E T S have been slaying it live with their hair-raising performances at their Halloween themed residency at the Satellite. Yesterday’s show, TheDarkWoods: Abduction, was particularly special.  At the end of their set, a paper explosion erupted into the crowd, but this was not your usual confetti fare: the group released their new single, “Can’t Go Back” on strips of paper with QR codes on them.

The new song evokes a sense of eerie stillness and haunting beauty and is from the band’s upcoming project, TheDarkCity.  “I don’t think anyone’s ever done it before,” said frontman Adam Stilwell, “We wanted to give something to people in a way they might not forget.”  “Can’t Go Back” is also the first song in next week’s show which is Part 2 of a two week series to close out their residency, TheDarkCity: Museum – an unnerving totalitarian tale that continues the original story of TheDarkWoods.

You can stream and download P L a N E T S’ new single “Can’t Go Back” below. The psych rock theater group have one remaining night of their Satellite residency on Monday, October 27th! We highly recommend you catch their set. The show is FREE and 21 and over.
