Johnny Marr Dec. 19 + 20th has been cancelled due to serious close family illness.

“I’m really disappointed to not be able to play the shows. The touring has been so enjoyable for me and the band and the audiences have been great everywhere. If it was about just me being unwell I would’ve found a way to continue as I did when I broke my hand earlier in the year, but to not be there for one of my family is not right. One of the most legendary musicians will be hitting the City of Angels on Friday, December 19th for one of two shows at the El Rey Theatre! Johnny Marr, known for his heavy contribution as guitarist for The Smiths, is hard to tame when it comes to music and we love it! From collaborating with The Pretenders to Modest Mouse, and joining the indie rock band, The Cribs, the singer-songwriter has now turned to producing his own solo work. His sophomore album, Playland was released this October followed with a US tour. Check out two of his singles down below! Opening up the night for Johnny Marr will be the musician Meredith Sheldon.

Tickets to Johnny Marr at the El Rey Theatre start at $30, show starts at 9pm and the show is all-ages. You can purchase your tickets or try winning a pair with us below!
