Win Tickets to Kid Congo Powers and the Pink Monkey Birds at The Echo

Heading to The Echo this Friday, January 16th is the multifaceted musician, Kid Congo Powers. Presently, he has renamed himself as Kid Congo Powers and the Pink Monkey Birds but back in the day, Kid Congo was a founding member of The Gun Club and joining member of The Cramps and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. 2013 marked Kid Congo and the Monkey Birds’ latest album, Haunted Head via In The Red records. Catch the band along with San Francisco act Uke-Hunt and L.A. band, Tramp for the Lord.

Tickets are $12 – 14, show starts at 8:30 pm, and the event is 18 and over. You can purchase tickets or try and win a pair of tickets with us by entering the contest below!

CONTEST DETAILS:

First make sure you’re following Grimy Goods on Twitter here and/or “like” our Facebook page here. Next, email ggcontests@gmail.com with your full name for guest list and a clever reason why you want a pair of tickets to Kid Congo at The Echo. When you’re done with your email, send us a Tweet so we know you entered the contest or you can post on our Facebook wall. We’ll select a winner that has done all of the above mentioned. Winners will be announced via email, Facebook and Twitter on Thursday, January 15th. Winners will have until 10am Friday, January 16th to reply back to our email and confirm their win.

    I ADORE Kid Congo Powers, but he was NOT a founding member of The Cramps, neither of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds! Both bands were well established when he joined.
