Ex Hex return to Los Angeles with headlining performance at The Roxy

Ex Hex

The all female power trio, Ex Hex are coming back to Los Angeles with a headlining performance scheduled at The Roxy in West Hollywood on Friday, May 15th. The band recently played the Echo in support of their fiery debut album, Rips. Now the trio are back and ready to rip some more.

Ex Hex are nothing if not a power trio of like-minded musical obsessives. Mary Timony isn’t the only one with extensive output; Laura Harris had been involved with Aquarium for over a decade before Ex Hex and Betsy Wright cut her teeth in the Fire Tapes. The nicest thing though, is the laidback vibe of their process and lifestyle. Most of their debut album Rips was written and recorded in Timony’s basement in D.C over a few days. And, while at times the record shows it’s punk ferocity, most of the tracks are hookworm affairs that are just as easy to like as they were to record. You gotta catch EX Hex live though, and your chance is coming up at The Roxy!

Tickets to Ex Hex at The Roxy are priced at $15 and the show is all-ages. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, February 6th at 10am. Supporting acts have yet to be announced. Doors are at 8pm and the show will kick off at 9pm.
