The 2015 FYF Fest lineup has been announced! After a week of teasing fans on social media, and making it quite clear that the lineup announcement would be delivered on Wednesday morning via KCRW, the FYF Fest lineup has finally been revealed. Take a look at the lineup poster below and let us know your thoughts!
This year’s FYF Fest 2015 will take place on August 22 and 23 at the LA Sports Arena & Exposition Park. The two-day FYF Fest will be headlined by Morrissey and Frank Ocean. Other acts include D’Angelo & The Vanguard, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Savages, Chet Faker, Belle & Sebastian, Spiritualized, and more. Surprisingly, FYF has a lot of R&B on this year’s bill with both Frank Ocean and D’Angelo in some pretty high spots. Perhaps that’s the reason why FYF has decided to offer single day tickets this year right off the bat. Last year single day tickets were only offered online in a very limited amount. A bigger festival calls for attracting a more broader audience.
According to KCRW’s interview with FYF founder, Sean Carlson, the logistics of this year will be much smoother. You won’t be wasting 45 minutes in foot traffic to get from one stage to the other. And considering Morrissey is headlining Sunday of FYF Fest, there will probably be more vegan food options! Also this year, FYF has followed in Coachella’s footsteps and offered a separate VIP entrance and additional VIP viewing areas.
All tickets, including general, single day and VIP tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 8 at 12pm. Unfortunately, tickets went up in price significantly this year from $129 to $175 (general admission) and VIP at a whopping $329 from last year’s $229. Payment plans will be available. For more information, visit FYF Fest’s website.
Anyone else surprised that FYF has invited Death Grips back to the festival? So much for calling it quits. Let’s hope for the sake of their fans that they don’t pull another dick move and not show up.
