Hot Band Alert: Close Talker — watch new video for gorgeous song “Burnstick”

Close Talker

Canadian indie rock quartet, Close Talker have shared the official video for their euphorically melodic “Burnstick”. With a penchant for arranging gorgeous soft indie rock melodies with deep lyrics, Close Talker have definitely grabbed our attention. Although most of their songs have a poignant tone, it’s their soaring melodies and lush harmony that truly shines. Their arrangements are simply beautiful. Fans of The National, Local Natives, and Bombay Bicycle Club will find an immediate attraction to Close Talker’s sound.

Close Talker just released their sophomore record Flux on November 4th via Nevado Records. The 10-track album is languid collection of indie rock ballads that will have you singing-along to their powerful choruses. You can order the album here.

Close Talker are currently on tour in Europe. The band was in Los Angeles this past November with a performance at The Hotel Cafe. If you missed them (unfortunately, like we did), you’ll have to wait a bit until they come back around to L.A. We’re hoping that will be sooner than later.

Close Talker are: Will Quiring (vocals, guitar), Matthew Kopperud (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Olson (vocals, bass), and Chris Morien (vocals, drums).

Listen to some of Close Talker’s music below and get lost in their brilliant arrangements.
