Los Angeles garage-grunge-punk band, Cherry Glazerr have offered up a brand new track titled “Sip O’ Poison.” The song comes from Adult Swim’s batch of singles; a 19-week project featuring a bunch of great artists. The new song finds the band creating a punk number reaching a minute and half of manic “Oh, Oh, Ohs” fueled with a punk electro vibe. While most Cherry Glazerr songs are sweet and erie, and not as aggressive, such as their prior “Had Ten Dollaz” release—”Sip O’ Poison” comes off with a fierce punch. Taking it back to a more punk tone as heard in “White’s No My Color This Evening,” the new song will definitely have all the kids riled up and dancing about.
As part of Adult Swim’s collection of singles, the network plans to release a new single each week through October. Last week they released “Running From Sane,” a new one from D∆WN (formerly Dawn Richard of Danity Kane and Dirty Money). Up next they have some great collaborators coming through with new music: Slayer, Run The Jewels, Chromatics, Flying Lotus, DOOMSTARKS and Danny Brown and Clams Casino, among others.
