Telekinesis announces show date at The Echo in support of new album "Ad Infinitum"

Telekinesis (aka Michael Lerner) returns to Los Angeles with a headlining date scheduled at The Echo on Wednesday, October 7. Touring in support of his fourth studio album, Ad Infinitum, Telekinesis will embark on a tour with supporting act Say Hi on October 1 in Bellingham, Washington and end in November in Seattle. He also has a late January UK/EU tour in the works. Ad Infinitum is set for release on September 18 is available for pre-order now on CD and limited-edition snow-white vinyl in the Merge store, and digitally via iTunes. All LP purchases will include three bonus tracks as a download.

Recently married, Lerner’s new album is noted in a recent press release as his most “assured” and “ambitious” work yet.

“I went down to the basement,” Lerner recalls, “and started playing the same chords I always play… I just felt like I’d exhausted everything I knew. I was not excited at all. I just could not make another power-pop album.”

The album is said to feel like a time machine. I guess fans can expect to hear some vintage and retro sounds. You can stream the album trailer below.

Tickets to Telekinesis at The Echo are priced at $12-$14 and the show is 18-and-over. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, June 18 at 12pm
