The new music video from Ryn Weaver for her song “Traveling Song” should come with a NSFW disclaimer — because nobody wants to cry when sitting at their desk at work.

Having seen Weaver perform live a number of times (from SXSW to Coachella to Bonnaroo), an emotional moment always comes in the form of her performing “Traveling Song.” Weaver details the loss of her grandfather Max, who died on Jan. 1 this year. Weaver nearly breaks down in tears every time I’ve seen her perform it, and when looking around at the crowd, almost everyone’s eyes are welled up.

The video for the song takes a similar feel. It kicks off with footage from a Weaver live performance of the song with her grandfather in attendance, then cuts to home movies from his personal collection.

Ryn Weaver’s debut album The Fool dropped on June 16 and she performs at the El Rey Theatre on July 13. Purchase your tickets here. You can get the album digitally here and on 12” 180 gram vinyl and as a limited edition signed CD here.
