After catching them live a few week ago at The Echo, Germany’s hard blues rock duo known as The Picturebooks impressed us so much that we had to catch them a second time while on their current North American tour. After a wild 4th of July weekend, we ventured over to the Slidebar in Fullerton for a free performance by The Picturebooks. As expected, the band did not disappoint. With all but just two burly dudes on stage, singer/guitar player Fynn Claus Grabke and drummer Philipp Mirtschink are a rock ‘n’ roll force to be reckoned with. These guys have such an incredible energy and a true talent for their craft. It’s amazing that just two guys can flesh out such a powerful sound.
