Wolf Alice's "You're a Germ" video an homage to horror flicks

London rockers Wolf Alice have released a video to go along with the single “You’re a Germ” from their highly-acclaimed debut full-length album My Love is Cool. The result is an awesome homage to old-school horror films, with the band going through multiple horror scenarios.

One scene has the band escaping a Jason-type slasher, another with them trying to escape flesh-eating zombies. The video goes pretty well with the lyrics, particularly the opening bit of the chorus: “You ain’t going to heaven (eyes wide, eyes wide) / ‘Cause I’m draggin’ you down to hell (eyes wide, eyes wide).” The video has a sort of “Everlong” feel to it, but not really comedic the way the Foo Fighters classic was.

Wolf Alice has been grabbing our attention ever since playing their first LA gig at Bardot back in January. We’ve subsequently seen them grow in gigs at the Bootleg, at SXSW, and more recently they turned in a spirited effort at ALT 98.7’s Summer Camp at the Santa Monica Pier earlier this month.
