From underground club beats, to hip hop, r&b and more, Boots has primed us with a most pleasing selection of teasers from his forthcoming full-length album, AQUARIA. After sharing enticing tracks “C.U.RE.”, “I Run Roulette”, “Bombs Away”, and a short film (Motorcycle Jesus) which featured five of his songs, Boots has now revealed the animated official video for his latest song reveal, “C.U.RE.”.
With Boots’ music already boasting a dystopian sound, the video for “C.U.RE.” brings that thematic imagery to life. The video features creepy Aeon Flux-like characters donning gas masks and going after the gold, which appears to be a metaphor for money (“millions”).
Boots has been touring with Run The Jewels and will be making a stop in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 19 at The Echo as part of Red Bull Sound Select’s #30DaysInLA series. He will also visit the East Coast with a stop at Rough Trade on Nov. 13.
Boots’ debut full-length record AQUARIA is set for release Friday, Nov. 13 via Columbia Records. You can pre-order the album here.
