Wild Nothing (aka Jack Tatum) has revealed a bright new track titled “Reichpop”. The song comes from the soon-to-be-released Life of Pause, his third full-length to date.

With a sweet combination of xylophone and vibrant percussion, the song has a sunny marimba feel to it. It definitely sounds like something you’d hear on an exotic Caribbean island.

“I desperately wanted for this to be the kind of record that would displace me,” says Tatum. “I’m terrified by the idea of being any one thing, or being of any one genre. And whether or not I accomplish that, I know that my only hope of getting there is to constantly reinvent. That reinvention doesn’t need to be drastic, but every new record has to have its own identity, and it has to have a separate set of goals from what came before.”

“Reichpop” follows “TV Queen” and “To Know You”, each with a sound different from the other. Wild Nothing’s forthcoming album Life Of Pause is set for release on February 19th via Bella Union and is available for preorder now. “Reichpop” is also available as an instant-grat download on iTunes, and Spotify.
