The multi-faceted and extremely talented Grimes is set to headline the Shrine Expo Hall on April 21st as part of Coachella’s annual series of side-shows. The show has been titled as Grimes presents “March of the Pugs” An intimate evening with Christine and the Queens & Tei Shi.
Closing out a successful 2015 with the release of her fourth studio album, Art Angels, Grimes also put on an epic Los Angeles show at the Mayan as part of Red Bull’s 30 Days In LA. If you weren’t one of the fortunate few to get into that packed gig, you won’t want to miss out on her Shrine Expo Hall date.
On top of this show announcement, Grimes has revealed the new video for “Kill V. Maim” from Art Angels. Directed by Grimes with art direction and animations by Grimes, and even editing by Grimes — the young rising star never ceases to amaze us. Claire Boucher is one brilliant woman. The video has some “Mad Max: Fury Road” vibes to it, along with vampires that like to party (a la Blade’s blood rave scene) and even some Michael Jackson’s “Bad”. Not sure if Boucher purposely pulled from these popular media elements, but you can’t help but have it come to mind while watching the three locations in the video for “Kill V. Maim”. Watch the video below.
