In honor of Women’s Equality Day, we’d like to show our immense love and appreciation for all the women that rock, and rock hard. With our Grimy Goods founder and editor also a woman, we’ve always made a point to focus on female musicians and empowering them. In the past few years, we’ve seem some epic moves with women shattering that glass ceiling. From women in music, to tech, journalism, government, and more—the female voice is growing and only getting stronger.
And it’s about fucking time.
Needless to say, we still have a steep hill to climb to ensure women are treated equally, and not just in the workplace, but on the streets, in their homes and all over the globe. With that said, take a look at our photos of some of our favorite empowering female musicians we’ve shot this past year.
Happy Women’s Equality Day! As it should be today, and every day. And thank you to all the brave women who fought for women’s rights.
