Roosevelt at The Echo

As part of his rare headlining North American tour with a three-piece band, German electronic producer — Roosevelt (aka Marius Lauber) took Los Angeles by storm with a sold-out performance at The Echo. The 25-year-old producer/multi-instrumentalist and vocalist was a highly anticipated gig for Angelenos in the know. Without a doubt, this was a special evening to catch an artist on the rise.

Performing songs from Roosevelt’s self-titled debut album out now on City Slang / Greco-Roman, the night was short of any dull moments. With delicious synth pop full of 80s flavor, and disco flair, Roosevelt enamoured fans with succulent beats and smooth vocals. It was impossible not to groove along to Roosevelt’s tantalizing dish of sweet sounds. Lauber’s serene vocal’s from “Sea” summoned the crowd into a trance-like state, while the opening hooks of “Fever” hit fans with a wave of euphoria. Not one person in the room could deny their sudden case of “happy feet.” Roosevelt definitely played with their heart and soul all night. Follow Roosevelt on Facebook for news and tour dates.
